TunnelMax-HD™ vs Traditional Security Cameras
Most car wash operators generally print still shots of vehicles that are involved in damage claims by their customers. The first set of thumbnails are Tunnel-MAX HD™ printable video snapshots taken directly from various TunnelMax-HD™ systems. Click on the individual thumbnails and you will be able to clearly see door dings, small and large scratches, and amazing detail of objects and people.
Now take a look at these video captures taken with a hi-resolution, 540 line traditional analog camera and DVR. This is similar to the typical setup that comprises a vast majority of the systems currently in use by car wash operators in the United States.
Ironically, these analog images actually blow away most of those taken with “bullet-cams” or other low-end video cameras being peddled on various car-wash oriented websites. The DVR that was used to record these images records in 640 x 480 resolution instead of the much smaller 320 x 240 format you see with most PC Based DVRs.
